Fundraising - Prostate UK sail round the island
The 55 mile sail around the Isle of Wight with 1,600 boats and 12,000 participants is an amazing spectacle. Prostate UK was delighted to have one of four sponsored boats in JP Morgan’s annual charity challenge. Our crew was made up of supporters Jim Meacham and Philip Cave, who have both been affected by prostate diseases, plus the comedian Dave Spikey and his wife Kay.
They were out on the water and hard at work for over 12 hours, before getting to the finish line to claim second place in the challenge.
We also had two other boats racing for Prostate UK. A big thank you to Robin Wood and Team ‘Duet’ who have both raised valuable sponsorship money to support our work.
