UPDATE - Issue 40 - Spring 2010

A little help from our friends

At Prostate UK, we are very fortunate to have many kind and generous supporters who help us in many different ways, from donations to fundraising events to raising awareness to giving advice and sharing their experiences. We are also very fortunate to be joined by some amazing volunteers on a regular basis who really help to share the workload of our small team.

Julian Ashby has been a regular volunteer for a couple of years, following a call to arms placed in Update 28. Like Julian, Clair Pattman is retired and helps us in her spare time when she can.

Over the past year, we have also had some invaluable help from volunteers looking for some work experience of the charity sector. Sarah Kate Kennedy, Sonia Petrou and Kirsty Olliver have all been with us on short-term placements assisting with fundraising events, admin and communications projects here which we hope will go some way to making their CVs attractive to prospective employers.

We would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers for all the help they have given us, they always feel like part of the team and make an outstanding contribution to Prostate UK's work. The only downside is when their placements finish and they leave us!
