Delivering more effective care for BPH patients in the UK
As BPH progresses men wake more often to urinate – sometimes up to five times a night. This is not a natural part of ageing and seriously disturbs sleep, reducing daytime energy and disrupting daily activities and general well-being.
The ProState of the Nation report was launched at the same time as Prostate UK‘s BPH campaign and is accompanied by a BPH awareness video explaining how men can take steps to minimise the effects of this prevalent disease.
The report examines the current patient pathway for men diagnosed with BPH in the UK and aims to highlight the prevalence of the disease in men, the impact on a patient‘s quality of life and the importance of early diagnosis and appropriate disease management, particularly in primary care.
